Mr.Arzoglou treat me with dignity and respect and explained the options of complex spinal surgery verbally and in writing. He explained the different outcomes that may or may not occur during surgery. I myself made the choice to go ahead without any pressure and at no point was I pressurised either way. I am a lady in my early 70's and Mr. Arzoglou and his team have given me a good outcome in my mobility. When I saw him at outpatients I was shown the MRI scan taken in theatre and could clearly see how much improvement there now is with the spinal cord etc., He did not rush the consultation and explained clearly anything I asked. I might add that I am pleased to have my independence back. Without this surgery life would have been quite bleak. I do realise that neurology is a very busy ward and beds were constantly needed for emergencies. Through no fault of the ward, patients recovering well would have to be transferred to another ward , to enable emergencies to go ahead. I totally have full confidence in Mr. Arzoglou and his team. Needless to say my surgery has been successful and thankyou.

Great surgeon and his team, very helpful, and explained everything to me. Was pregnant at the time and very grateful for what they did for me, and also thanks to all staff ward 4/40

Mr Arzoglou took great care in listening to me and also reading a diary of my symptoms that I had compiled. He gave me a thorough examination and was decisive about what treatment I needed. The whole experience was reassuring and very professional. I would not hesitate in contacting him again if needed and also recommending him to family and friends.

The standard of care that I have recieved both from Ward 4/40 at Hull Royal (and Out-Patients at Castle Hill) and the combined teams, specifically Mr Arzoglou, has been exemplary over the last 6 months. Mr Arzoglou will, I am shure, have a very busy agenda but I have appreciated the fact that during our appointments he has taken time to share and discuss my prognosis. He has also been very helpful with supporting documentation that has helped in getting back to work etc. The only downside, and this not critical of Mr Arzoglou, is the response time in getting information / formal letters back which in the case of my last letter took a month from surgery to receipt of letter. Having said that then this was over the festive period so I did anticipate some delay. Overall I am very, very pleased with the accuracy, patience and attenitiveness of Mr Arzoglou. An excellent represenative of the mediacla profession and of the standard set by the NHS.

From the onset, my diagnosis was comprehensively and clearly explained and the options open to me were discussed in a way which was easy to comprehend. All correspondence was very clear and all meetings were conducted in a friendly and compassionate manor. Overall a very positive experience
